bracelet. Passed down from my ancestors, Sapphira and Sabola, my
grandparents, and today l , Sabrina, was to get the sapphire crown. />
l had five other sisters, Diana, Emily, Rubeth, Amy and Aquadite.
They had already been crowned, when they were my age. Rubeth the first,
Diana the second, Emily the third, Aquadite the fourth, Amy the fifth and
l was going to be Sabrina the sixth, the last of the Gemdelite kind. l was
the youngest, the purest and the most powerful.

Then l heard
the trumpets sound and my sisters singing the crowning anthem. l quickly
pulled on my gold robe and sandals and put on all of my jewelry and then l
ran outside to join my sisters. By the time l got there they were just
finishing the anthem, l started singing too. My father, King Oberon the
first, stood up from his throne to crown me. He carried the beautiful
sapphire crown in his hands, it twinkled blue as the sunlight shone upon
this item of prosperity. He chanted the words of everlasting youth and
power, formositas, auctoria. Then he placed the crown upon my head,
“Formositas pestis, auctoria pestis, eloquor regine.” All of my
sisters clapped, my real mother out of all six and of course my father and
his close friends.

Soon after the ceremony l went back to my
room to put all of my sapphire jewelry items back. l placed my sapphire
bracelet, necklace and ring back in my jewelry box safe and sound.
Finally, l carefully opened the blue crown box and lifted the crown off my
soft brown hair. l slowly and carefully moved it towards the box. It was in
mid-place when Ash, my jeweler, knocked on the door rather loudly and
opened it, “hey, Sabrina!” l dropped the crown. It smashed loudly,
“Oh no! Sabrina what’ve you done?!?” Ash picked up the broken bits
of sapphire, “Oberon won’t be happy when l tell him that you broke the
sapphires. Did you know that these sapphires fell from the sky? What will
we do?” Ash looked timid, he was shivering and gritting his teeth,
“Ash, you’re the one that yelled at me. They would’ve broken anyway;
they’re over a million years old. Tell my father.” Ash nodded and then
tip-toed out the door.

l was about to change into my robes
when the ground shook. l knew this was because of the sapphires and l ran
straight to The Gemdelite Hall where l knew my father was waiting with my
mother and sisters, “Sappirah, what have you done?” my father called
me by my Gem-name, “I’m sorry.” My father hit the hard, rock-like
ground with his Gemstone staff, “Sorry does not make the stars fall from
the sky.” My father grumbled shaking his head up at the sky, “What do
you mean fall from the sky.” l said. Rubeth began to speak, “Sapphires
are no ordinary gems Sappirah, They are fallen stars.

The
goddess of the Gems, Skye, planted diamonds, amethyst and all those other
Gems deep, beneath rocks, while she hung sapphires in the sky that
disappear during the day.” l nodded at Rubeth pleading forgiveness from
my father, “Please, father, If you want l can retrieve a different type
of sapphire.” My father stroked his silver beard, “Hmm, well l suppose
there is one other type of sapphire that is just as powerful.” l nodded
listening closely, “Sapphirite, one of the Jewel gods hidden in one of
the legendary Gem-holes. But you must retrieve it with great care.” l
stood before my father and bowed to him, “Thank you father, l will
retrieve the Sapphirite at dawn.”
